We were commissioned by RATP to carry out a survey of railway track infrastructure in order to provide the information required for a study into the renewal of ballasted track on the eastern section of RER line A.
The proposed methodology is based on a combination of high-performance geophysical tests (georadar auscultation) and low-trauma geotechnical spot tests (Pandoscope®).
Acquisition was carried out at night at 60km/h using our georadar system installed on an RATP vehicle. The Pandoscope surveys were then carried out by our specialist field teams.
The combined analysis of the georadar data and the Pandoscope® soundings enables us to provide the information needed for the study into the renewal of the RER A tracks in the eastern section.
