Storage and release basin – Quartier des Vergnes – Clermont-Ferrand (63)
Mission G3
Client : NGE GENIE CIVIL 63
Project owner : CLERMONT AUVERGNE METROPOLE
Project manager : EGIS / GEOTEC
The Vergnes reservoir is a 15 m-deep circular reservoir built in an urban area on behalf of Clermont Métropole.
In order to build this structure, a secant pile wall was constructed as well as a bottom slab anchored by micropiles to resist Archimedes’ buoyancy.
Lateral structures, built by Berlinoise, were also designed.
In order to calibrate the geotechnical parameters of the modelling, Sol Solution carried out tensile tests within the geological formations to determine the friction along the micropiles within the Marls.
Sol Solution designed the walls and micropiles of the raft according to the Eurocodes.
