Mission G2 AVP + G4

We were commissioned by the communauté de communes de la Chataigneraie Cantalienne to carry out a G4 geotechnical mission to monitor the execution of works to create a cut-and-fill platform on the INTERLAB site.
The issues to be addressed, in collaboration with InTerra (G3 assignment) and Sas Sevigne (works company), concerned the creation of an embankment no more than 15 metres high with a draining spade at the foot, the purging of sensitive clay veins before installing the spade, the management of excavated material (arena and granitic rock) for reuse as fill and the protection of neighbouring areas (premises, stream, etc.). Plate tests were carried out as the embankment rose to validate the expected load-bearing capacity.
