The project involves a number of complex geotechnical elements :
- Moulded wall (20 m high, 40 m diameter)
- An invert 1.5 m thick at the bottom of the basin, reinforced by 155 micropiles 20 m below the level of the invert. These micropiles provide stability against water pressure and the effects of swelling of the marl under the invert.
- Operating buildings on hollow auger piles with management of ascent speeds and drilling parameters.
- Earthworks with water table and lowering (estimates of water inflow and pumping).
